SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 

The SSC CHSL exam has three stages.

  • Tier 1 is of objective type with multiple-choice questions and also it is Computer Based (online).
  • Tier 2 is a descriptive paper in English/Hindi and the mode of the exam will be offline.
  • Finally, Tier 3 will be a skill test or typing test, it will depend on the post. 

Tier 1 SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

Points to be noted-

  • The Tier-1 exam will have only multiple-choice, i.e. objective questions.
  • The paper will be bilingual i.e. it will in both Hindi and English
  • For every right answer, the candidates will get 2 marks
  • For every incorrect answer, 0.50 marks will get deducted 
  • The tier-1 exam will carry 200 marks
  • To complete the examination, the candidates will get a maximum of 1 hour.

Tier II SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

Some points to remember – 

  • Tier II will be organized offline in pen-paper mode to your writing skills. 
  • 100 Marks will be for the descriptive paper  
  • The time duration of the tier-II CHSL paper would be 1 hour. 
  • The candidates will need to write an Application Letter of approximately 150-200 words and an Essay of around 200 -250 words.
  • To get qualified, the candidates will have to score a minimum of 33%. 
  • Candidates must know that in the assessment process, the Tier-2 Exam will prepare merit.

Tier III SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 

  • As the tier-III stage will be a Skill Test/Typing Test. 

They will list the final merit of the selected candidates on the total score secured by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

  1. Go to the official website www.ssc.nic.in.
  2. Under the Candidate Information column you will find the Results Section. Search the link for SSC CHSL Result 2020.
  3. Click on the link to open the result page. 
  4. On the login page, enter your roll number and DOB.
  5. Click on the submit button.
  6. On your device’s screen, the SSC CHSL Result 2020 will pop up.
  7. For future reference, download a copy of your result in a PDF Format.
